Terms of use

Last updated 26 July 2026

recad is a free tool, in beta, for designing parts to 3D-print. Using it means accepting what follows. It is written plainly on purpose.

Your designs are yours

You keep every right to what you make. Nothing you design here is claimed, licensed, or used for any purpose other than storing it and showing it back to you. You are free to sell, publish or give away anything you print from it.

It is a beta, and it is free

Features will change, and some will be removed. There is no uptime commitment and no support commitment. Keep your own copies of work you care about — Export gives you STL and 3MF, and File → Save a copy gives you the editable file.

Check what you print. recad generates geometry from what you draw; it does not know what the part is for. Whether a design is strong enough, safe enough, or fits anything in the real world is yours to verify. Do not use it for anything where a part failing would hurt someone.

Fair use

Please do not:

Accounts doing these things may be suspended or removed. Where it is not obviously malicious, expect to be asked about it first.

No warranty, and limited liability

The tool is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for lost work, lost time, failed prints, wasted filament, or any other loss arising from using it. Given it is free and in beta, this is the honest position rather than a legal posture.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted — see Privacy. The service itself may be discontinued; if that happens, reasonable notice will be given so you can export your work.

Changes

These terms will change as the tool does. The date at the top says when they last did. Anything that materially affects you will be flagged in the app rather than quietly edited here.
